Why we exist

Good food should not feel complicated.

We started The Green Batch with a simple frustration: it had become too difficult to find everyday food that felt honest, well made and reasonably priced.

We are not trying to build another expensive health-food shop. We are building a modern local grocer with a clear point of view: choose better products, support the right producers, and make it easier for people to buy food they can trust.

Our first store begins in Chislehurst, but the company is being built with a wider future in mind. The Green Batch will grow carefully, one good shelf and one good supplier relationship at a time.

We prioritise local and British suppliers where possible, while staying open to exceptional producers whose values match our standard.

Fair value

Premium does not have to mean overpriced. We want excellent food to feel accessible, not exclusive.

Our first store

Chislehurst is where The Green Batch begins.

Our first Green Batch store is planned for 2 Royal Parade, Chislehurst. It will be a neighbourhood grocery store with a premium but welcoming feel: fresh produce, whole foods, carefully selected pantry goods, sustainable household products and locally sourced goods wherever possible.

The Batch

The Batch will be our own range under The Green Batch name. We are keeping it considered, organic and true to the same standard as the products we choose for our shelves. More will be shared when the time is right.
