Why we exist

Good food should not feel complicated.

We started The Green Batch with a simple frustration: it had become too difficult to find everyday food that felt honest, well made and reasonably priced.

We are not trying to build another expensive health-food shop. We are building a modern local grocer with a clear point of view: choose better products, support the right producers, and make it easier for people to buy food they can trust.

Our first store begins in Chislehurst, but the company is being built with a wider future in mind. The Green Batch will grow carefully, one good shelf and one good supplier relationship at a time.

Our first store

Chislehurst is where The Green Batch begins.

Our first Green Batch store is planned for 2 Royal Parade, Chislehurst. It will be a neighbourhood grocery store with a premium but welcoming feel: fresh produce, whole foods, carefully selected pantry goods, sustainable household products and local British makers.
